Thai Massage for private clients
Learn an easy to remember 40 minute sequence of techniques to increase range of motion and relax the nervous system. No experience necessary. The workshop consists of demonstration and partner work, with short hatha yoga practices as self-care.
Alignment-based functional repair
Learn how the geometry of common postures can be used to address injuries. Understand the forces at work within postures, the limitations of individual bodies within those postures, and how to prop and modify appropriately, using the correct amount of stimulus to encourage movement toward more function, without pain.
Introduction to Insight Meditation
The practice of Vipassana meditation is a method of both training longer periods of sustained concentration and the application of that mindfulness to an inquiry into the nature of being and the nature of the mind. Theory of mind, modern understandings of neurology and physiology complement this look into what is, in essence, a secular form of practice. Short, 10 - 15 minute meditations are punctuated with lecture and discussion.
Weekend workshops are Saturday and Sunday, 2.5 hours am and pm for a total of 10 hours.
